Anthony of Treacka's Garden
02.05.2004
Amersfoort, The Netherlands
Anthony of Treacka’s Garden was in his time one of the most influential sires within the breed.
He was bred out of Vamp of Treacka’s Garden and Deffie of Nutstown, who was the sire of Yacousi of Treacka’s Garden. Vamp reached almost the age of 14 and her daughter almost 13. Killykeen Lucy, also an ancestor, lived up to 16 and a half years.
Anthony himself was a gentleman in every way and together with my wife Ilse they formed a team that was as good as undefeated.
As a sire he always produced big males and feminine bitches, founding stock for many Irish Wolfhound kennels.
He was a gentle hound and a tremendous mover and died much too early due to a liver rupture provoked by a running accident. He forever left his print in our hearts and we are proud to have his grandson Blackjack Tophound 2014 and BIS Winner. There is also a great grandson, Dreamcatcher of Mag Mor, carrying blood of really Irish kennels, he is also a class winner out of 13 best puppies at the Belgian Junior and Veteran Day Show.
